Welcome

... to the website of Princeton’s Graduate Student Government (GSG)!

Founded in 1989, the GSG’s mission is to advocate for the interests of graduate students at Princeton, to provide a forum for free and open discussion of matters affecting graduate students, and to provide financial and organizational support for social events that involve graduate students.

Our past accomplishments include the creation of a Dissertation Completion Enrollment (DCE) status for students in their first and second years of post-enrollment, the extension of Housing benefits to DCE students, the creation of an Assistant Instructor (AI) Handbook to inform students on what to expect from teaching responsibilities at Princeton, and the inclusion of graduate students in the Campus Directory.

The GSG is composed of an Executive Committee with six Officers and three Committee Chairs, and an Assembly of representatives from each graduate Department. To learn more about our organization, click the About tab.
