Michael Patrick Schwoerer

2nd year PhD Candidate in Molecular Biology
Pronouns: He/him/his

Hello! I’m a second-year PhD candidate in Molecular Biology. I did my undergrad at the University of Pennsylvania, where I graduated in 2019 with a B.A. in Biology. Here at Princeton, I research the tropism of RNA viruses with Dr. Alexander Ploss. I also carry out policy research on biocontrol as an HMEI-STEP fellow, working with Dr. David Wilcove. Before serving as Treasurer, I was the GSG Assembly Representative for the Department of Molecular Biology. As Treasurer, I also chair the Events Board; in both positions, I seek to help push the reassembly of Princeton’s graduate student community following these hectic 1.5 years. Outside of lab and GSG, I’m an avid runner and opera singer.
